SPECTATORS: Tickets

TICKETS ARE AVAILABLE NOW!!!!

The information available now is that there are no tickets for Opening or Closing Ceremonies, but all other events should have tickets.

Scroll down the page and there should be Universiade (World University Games) tickets for most sports now.  If you don’t find the tickets immediately, put “Universiade” in the search box where it says “Please input keywords” at the top left, and then click on “GO”.  This is a Chinese ticket company approved by the World University Games in Shenzhen.

Issues and instructions:

  1. Not all sports have tickets available
  2. Even if the sport is listed, when you click on “Buy It”, the prices need to be underlined for you to buy a ticket at that price.  Click on the price that you want, and even then it might not let you enter a quantity.
  3. Getting an account set-up can be an issue. On the first two attempts we apparently entered a User ID that was already taken, but the error message was in Chinese.  It took 10 minutes to finally get signed up and back to the right page to buy the tickets.
  4. Entering the address was a problem.  It gives a 25 letter maximum, but asks for a full address.  Since the tickets cannot be delivered outside of China, don’t worry about this too much.
  5. So, your only option will be to pick up the tickets. Please mark that unless you have a friend in China.
  6. The Payment is by: Cash in person, Wire Transfer, Money Order, or Western Union Payment.
  7. Make sure you get an email or call in return to confirm your tickets. Print out the confirmation number that you are given at the end.

Hopefully all these issues will be resolved and all sports have tickets in the next couple of days.
