6th World University Match Racing Championship

Nice, France – September 3rd to 8th, 2012

Events

In principle, the competition will last six (6) days and will include:

- one day to examine the equipment

- matches organized in pools for men

- matches organized in pools for women

- classification matches for men

- classification matches for women

Participation

Crews will consist of four (4) persons. (According to the boat selected for the Championship, the Executive Committee may decide to fix this number to five (5) persons for men crews). The average weight of men competitors is limited to 87.50 Kg maximum. The average weight of women competitors is limited to 68.00 kg maximum.

Delegation

Each country is authorized to enter two (2) men crews with a maximum of eight (8) competitors and five (5) officials, that is to say thirteen (13) persons.

The countries participating in the Match Racing tournament must pay a deposit (Art 5.4.4)  to guarantee the participation of their team. This deposit must be paid to FISU, otherwise the entry will not be taken into consideration.

The boats will be supplied by the Organizing Committee and drawn every day or at the end of each pool.

Motorboats will be reserved for trainers.

Age Brackets

The competitors must be born between January 1st, 1984 and December 31st, 1994.
